Four kinds of work. If a job crosses more than one, say so on the quotation and send the drawing. Specifications for the machines sit on their own page and will be filled in properly.

This is machined work where the drawing sets the standard. Send the drawing, or a part and the dimensions that matter. Tolerances, materials and the machines that hold them will be published once they are confirmed. They are not guessed on this site.

Turning covers round work. Diameters, lengths and any thread detail belong on the drawing or in the enquiry. Capacity — swing, length and the actual machines — will be listed on the machinery page when it is confirmed.

Milling covers prismatic work: faces, pockets, slots and hole patterns. Axis travel and the machines on the floor will be stated with the specifications, not before.

Fabrication sits with the machined work: brackets, frames, plates and assemblies. Welding, folding and finish will be described once that workshop detail is agreed. If a job is part machined and part fabricated, say so and attach the drawing.
What to send
A drawing, or a photograph with the important sizes marked. The material if you know it. The quantity. A date if there is one. Anything that must not change.
What we will not invent
Tolerances, travels and materials will be published with the machines. Until then, ask. A quotation is a better place for a limit than a sentence on a website.
